Applications Analyst and Developer

Role summary

You will join the Belgium team to support a major ecosystem modernisation programme, providing operational support, development and deployment of applications and systems for the commercial risk business in Belgium. The role requires close collaboration with local stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business objectives and integrate seamlessly.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with colleagues in country to understand functional and non-functional processes and requirements.
• Analyse local processes and requirements and contribute to development of global processes and solutions.
• Produce business and application analysis deliverables.
• Liaise with Product Owners and Solution Architects to ensure application development supports the Belgium business.
• Perform application development and provide application support to maintain stable, secure and strategically aligned operations.
• Occasional travel within EMEA and possibly APAC may be required.

Skills and experience

• Experience on insurance projects and familiarity with insurance concepts and terminology.
• Strong applications analysis and software development skills.
• Experience producing application analysis outputs such as business requirements, business process diagrams, use case diagrams, user stories and user journeys.
• Good understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC) and application analysis methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with business and technical subject matter experts.
• Ability to work with diverse teams across different countries and cultures.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to lead assigned areas of work and balance big-picture thinking with attention to low-level detail.
