Functieomschrijving
As Assistant Finance Manager you will be responsible for supporting financial planning and forecasting. You support both the Benelux Foods Finance Team and the Europe Foods Finance Team with your financial skills. In turn you can expect a salary up to €30 per month. What you’ll be doing
Your responsibilities as Assistant Finance Manager are two-fold. You will be responsible for:

Supporting the Benelux Foods Finance Team, which includes:
  • Sales & Operations Planning/Forecasting/Month End: you have co-ownership of 
    • Sales & Operations Forecasting, Planning, and Value Cash Up 
    • Results and Month End for Foods Benelux (including commenting on the month end deck)
  • Agile Projects: you drive agile projects where value is at stake    

Supporting the business unit Europe Foods Finance Team, which means you will:
  • Support the business performance drumbeat
  • Support strategic and financial interventions
  • Work as part of a team on cross-functional performance interventions  
  • pick up ad hoc requests

Note! This is a temporary office-based role that requires 40% of time attendance to the site.

Functie-eisen
  • At least a bachelor’s level diploma
  • Fluency in the English language both in reading and writing, as you will be communicating in this language mainly
  • At least three years’ experience with:
  • Identifying risks & opportunities in the P&L  
  • Driving Profit & Loss performance improvements (e.g. closing gaps vs. target) and holding others accountable (particularly peers and senior leadership) 
  • Managing a large and complex set of stakeholders  
  • Presenting to and communicating with senior Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
  • Communicating financial acumen effectively with all levels of the 
  • Creating and implementing operational improvement solutions 

Additionally, Finance Business Partnering experience with clear, focused and sound financial assessment and guidance (strategic insights, risks, and opportunities) is a plus

To be a successful Assistant Financial Manager, you will need:
  • Academic level or equivalent financial experience  
  • Proven experience as Business Partner and with working with other departments like Marketing and Sales 
  • Commercial acumen 
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to quickly understand new topics
  • Strong engagement, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to present complex information in a simplified manner  
  • Resilience (ability to cope with time pressure and challenges)
  • The ability to think critically, be decisive, pay attention to detail, and work collaboratively 
  • Strong analytical skills resulting in useful business insights
  • The ability to work with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
