In the role of Senior Purchaser, you will be a key player within the procurement team, focusing on securing and streamlining the supply of essential materials and services that drive the company’s production processes. Leveraging your expertise in strategic procurement, you’ll take charge of contract negotiations, fostering strong supplier partnerships, and pinpointing ways to optimize costs. Your responsibilities include directing or supporting supplier selection procedures, evaluating vendor performance, and ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks and project timelines. This senior-level position demands close collaboration with internal teams to synchronize purchasing plans with overarching company goals while championing innovative and sustainable procurement methods.

Succeeding in this Senior Purchasing position requires:

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a comparable procurement or purchasing role, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain operations and international sourcing techniques.
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation and successfully managing vendor partnerships.
• Strong analytical capabilities to assess costs, quality, and supplier efficiency.
• Competence with procurement tools and ERP systems, particularly SAP experience.
• An academic background in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to facilitate teamwork across various operational levels.
• A proactive mindset for tackling problems and identifying opportunities for enhancing processes.
• Fluency in Dutch, both spoken and written, is essential.
