As a Senior Purchaser, you will play a pivotal role in the procurement department, ensuring the continuous supply and optimization of materials and services critical to the company’s production operations. With a strong background in strategic procurement, you will be responsible for negotiating contracts, maintaining productive relationships with suppliers, and identifying opportunities for cost-saving initiatives. You will lead or support vendor selection processes, monitor supplier performance, and ensure compliance with quality standards and timelines. In this senior role, you are expected to collaborate closely with internal teams to align purchasing strategies with company objectives, while also driving innovation and sustainability in procurement practices.

Functie-eisen

To excel in this Senior Purchasing role, you should bring:

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar procurement or purchasing role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• A strong understanding of supply chain management and global sourcing strategies.
• Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
• Excellent analytical abilities to evaluate costs, quality, and supplier performance.
• Proficiency in relevant procurement and ERP software, experience with SAP.
• A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration across different operational levels.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a keen eye for process improvement opportunities.
