Job Vacancy: Chartered Accountant for Audit Practice in Amsterdam
My client is an international firm specializing in providing accounting, audit, and financial advisory services to clients across various industries.
They are currently seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join their growing audit practice in Amsterdam. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality audit services to their clients and contributing to the ongoing success of our firm.
What will you be doing?
- Conduct financial statement audits for a diverse range of clients in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Prepare and review audit workpapers, ensuring that they are accurate, complete, and properly documented
- Maintain regular communication with clients, proactively addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with our services
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement efficient audit methodologies and best practices
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements to provide well-informed guidance to clients
- Contribute to the development of a positive team culture and participate in the training and mentoring of junior staff members
What is expected from you?
A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of experience in external auditing, preferably within a Big Four or mid-tier accounting firm
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, Dutch GAAP, and audit methodologies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch or other European languages is an asset
- A proactive and client-focused approach to work, with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client engagements
