What to expect?
As Chef de Partie, you play a vital role in delivering an outstanding dining experience at Restaurant JAQ. You start your day aligning with your team on the preparation and execution of the à la carte service.
You will be responsible for your own kitchen section, creating, plating, and perfecting dishes from JAQ's creative and trend-forward menu. You'll also be involved in preparing meals for our Meetings & Events guests, giving you the opportunity to work across different culinary styles and service formats.
No two days are the same, and that's exactly what makes this role so exciting!
Your key responsibilities include:
  • Managing your designated kitchen station independently.
  • Preparing and presenting dishes that meet our high Hilton quality standards.
  • Ensuring full mise en place and maintaining accurate stock levels for your section.
  • Supervising and mentoring Demi Chef de Parties and kitchen apprentices.
  • Monitoring and supporting the completion of required (online) training.
  • Taking part in new culinary projects assigned by the Executive Chef.
  • Contributing to menu development across the hotel outlets.
  • Staying up to date with the latest food trends and plating techniques.
  • Ensuring full compliance with HACCP and food safety standards.
  • Promoting sustainability and environmental awareness.
  • Encouraging teamwork and maintaining a positive kitchen culture.




Job Requirements
Who are you?
You are known for your passion for food, your creativity, and your ability to stay calm and organized under pressure. You take pride in every dish you send out and enjoy being part of a team that delivers high-quality dining experiences. You bring:
  • Previous experience as Chef de Partie (preferably in an à la carte restaurant).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of food trends and kitchen operations.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP and social hygiene standards.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with strong teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work mainly in the evenings, as well as weekends and holidays.
  • Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus).
  • Residency in or near Rotterdam.
  • The legal right to work in the Netherlands.
