Set within the beautiful surroundings of Pulitzer Amsterdam, Jansz. is our elegant yet approachable restaurant where elevated casual dining meets the charm of a true Amsterdam canal house. The kitchen focuses on quality ingredients, refined flavours, and service that feels polished without ever becoming stiff or formal.
Led by Executive Chef Jeroen Boone, the team works in a collaborative environment where creativity, development, and positivity are just as important as consistency and quality.
We are looking for a Demi Chef de Partie who is passionate about food, enjoys working in a dynamic kitchen environment, and wants to grow within a supportive and ambitious team.
A day in the life
No service at Jansz. is ever quite the same.
Your shift starts with preparing the mise en place for your section and supporting the Chef de Partie in creating a smooth and organised service. Throughout the day, you help prepare and plate dishes with consistency, quality, and attention to detail.
You work closely with the kitchen team to ensure strong communication and a positive atmosphere during service. Whether it is lunch, dinner, or private dining, you stay flexible, focused, and calm under pressure.
Alongside service, you maintain cleanliness and structure within the kitchen, follow HACCP standards, and support wherever needed during busy moments.
What you will do
- You prepare mise en place for service.
- You support the Chef de Partie during daily operations and service.
- You help prepare and present dishes with consistency and care.
- You ensure ingredients are stored, labelled, and handled correctly.
- You work according to HACCP and food safety standards.
- You help maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen.
- You support stock control and minimise waste where possible.
- You contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.
What we are looking for
- Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but we believe passion, motivation, and the right mindset are just as important as experience.
- You are eager to learn, enjoy working in a fast paced environment, and bring positive energy into the kitchen every day.
- You are organised, flexible, and reliable.
- You work well under pressure and have a strong eye for detail.
- You enjoy working as part of a team and are eager to continue developing yourself.
- You are comfortable working evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
