Wat ga je doen?
Keep drivers on track and customers happy. Make it work.
You are the link between drivers, customers, and planning. You ensure drivers stay on course at all times and customers are satisfied with their orders.
Your job as an Employee Drivers Care at Albert Heijn:
- You answer calls from drivers who have questions or encounter issues on the road, and you help them immediately.
- You monitor the national delivery process live. In case of delays, weather issues, or traffic disruptions, you step in to minimize customer impact.
- You involve the right colleagues or external partners (e.g., planning, operations, roadside assistance) and keep everyone informed until the issue is resolved.
- You log calls and actions in the system and record route details accurately.
- You schedule additional routes between locations when there are shortages or surpluses and coordinate routes and timings with planning.
- You assign drivers to the correct routes in the planning system.
- You keep Team Lead Drivers Care informed of everything that’s going on.

Being a point of contact for drivers requires a flexible communication style. A positive attitude forms the basis for great interactions. You communicate clearly, are solution‑oriented, and switch quickly so you can help others right away. Stressful situations keep you sharp, and in your contact with customers you always remain professional.
As an Employee Drivers Care, you:
- You have at least an mbo-level working and thinking ability.
- You work accurately, plan effectively, and have strong organizational skills.
- Speak English well enough to work together smoothly.
- Are flexible and willing to workday and evening shifts, including weekends.
- You don’t mind working day and evening shifts (including Saturdays).
- You are a team player who can also work independently and set the right priorities.
