Job Description
YANMAR Marine International is seeking a professional and highly organised Executive Assistant to support the CEO and international management team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, internationally operating organisation headquartered in Almere.
Role Overview
As Executive Assistant, you will provide high-level organisational and administrative support to the CEO and senior management team. You ensure structure, continuity and effective follow-up in daily operations and strategic initiatives. The working language within the organisation is English.
You are able to operate at both strategic and operational levels, maintaining oversight while managing detailed administrative processes with accuracy and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and optimising the complex schedules of the CEO and international management team;
- Preparing meetings, taking minutes and monitoring follow-up actions;
- Coordinating international travel arrangements and corporate events;
- Acting as a first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders;
- Supporting and monitoring ongoing projects to ensure timely execution;
- Managing correspondence, confidential information, invoicing and expense administration;
- Contributing to the smooth operation of the office and maintaining a professional working environment.
Profile
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to prioritise effectively and anticipate needs;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Proficiency in modern digital tools and systems;
- Experience within an international working environment;
- Fluent in English;
- Residency in the Netherlands (required).
What This Role Offers

The role is hybrid, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.
Job Requirements
To excel in this exciting and challenging role as Executive Assistant, you are ideally available for 37.5 hours per week and reside within a 30 km radius of Almere.
In addition, you bring the following qualifications:
- You are a Dutch resident living within 30 km of Almere (hard requirement);
- Bachelor-level thinking and working skills (HBO level);
- Experience in a similar role such as Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, (Executive) Secretary, or Management Assistant;
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in Englis. Proficiency in Dutch is preferred but not required. Japanese would be a fantastic bonus :-)
- Proactive, accurate, positively assertive, highly discreet, and able to perform well under pressure;
- You are available for at least 32 hours per week. Would you like to work more than the standard 37.5 hours? You'll earn additional time off!;
- A fast thinker with strong organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail;
- You take initiative and enjoy tackling challenges head-on;
- A highly skilled communicator at all levels, with a keen understanding of interpersonal dynamics;
- You easily adopt new technologies and are comfortable with modern digital tools – including AI.
Salary and Benefits
YANMAR Marine International offers a challenging and responsible position within an international working environment. In this role as Executive Assistant, you will have the opportunity to further shape and develop the position. In addition, Yanmar offers the following employment conditions:
- An attractive base salary ranging from € 4.487 to € 5.407, depending on experience and based on a 37.5-hour working week (€ 4.786 – € 5.767 based on 40 hours);
- Appointment in accordance with the Metalektro Collective Labour Agreement (CAO Metalektro);
- Flexible working hours and the possibility to work partly from home (up to two days per week for full-time employment);
- A standard 37.5-hour working week, with the option to work between 32 and 40 hours. Hours worked in excess of 37.5 per week are converted into additional leave;
