FunctieomschrijvingAs an Integration Engineer for Propulsion Systems, you will be responsible for designing and integrating propulsion technologies into naval vessel projects. From the initial proposal stage to the final system integration, your role will involve ensuring that the propulsion systems meet all technical, performance, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors based on both customer and internal design requirements.
Collaborate with the purchasing team to assess and evaluate supplier quotations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant customer and regulatory standards during technical discussions and negotiations with suppliers.
Gather and review supplier engineering documentation, including mechanical drawings, schematics, calculations, and electrical diagrams.
Oversee the integration of propulsion components and systems into the overall ship design, working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and external regulatory bodies.
Create and maintain technical documents such as system descriptions, installation procedures, and alignment protocols.
Conduct performance validation through dynamic simulations, inspections, FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), and on-site equipment installation checks.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the engineering department’s processes and standards.
Functie-eisen A Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
In-depth knowledge of propulsion systems, with experience in naval, offshore, or commercial shipbuilding.
Strong command of English, both written and spoken, and preferably Dutch.
Competencies include customer focus, quality-driven mindset, results orientation, teamwork, flexibility, planning, management control, decisiveness, and initiative.
Excellent references and a background that will pass a pre-employment security screening, which is a standard procedure.
Candidates must possess permanent EU citizenship and hold a valid EU passport. Candidates with only an EU work visa or dual nationality (EU and non-EU) will not be considered due to specific security clearance requirements related to project restrictions.
