With operations in several countries, the company serves both independent pet shops and large retail chains. Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing existing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities in French-speaking markets. The focus is on serving both retail chains and independent shops.

  • Manage and build customer relationships in French-speaking markets, analyse market developments, identify commercial opportunities and translate these into concrete actions and strategies.
  • Make annual price agreements with both large chains and individual shops.
  • Maintain frequent contact (by telephone and e-mail) with both stores that are part of large chains and individual stores with the aim of generating orders.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (sales support, logistics, marketing, product development) to meet customer needs.
  • Regular travel within Europe for customer visits and trade fairs.




Job Requirements

For this position, we are looking for someone who is fluent in spoken and written French and who also has several years of experience in B2B sales. Preferably, you have an above-average affinity with the pet industry, the aquatic sector and/or garden and horticulture retail. You are happy to travel within Europe for several weeks each year. 

  • Fluent in French (spoken and written) and professional command of Dutch and/or English for internal communication.
  • 3–5 years of B2B experience with both retail chains and independent shops, including price agreements (preferably in the pet industry, aquatic sector or garden/horticulture retail).
  • Self-starter, proactive, results-oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills and able to make data-driven commercial decisions, as well as a good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Power BI and ERP systems.
