This company in Poeldijk is involved in the global sourcing, ripening, packaging, processing, and distribution of avocados and other fresh fruit. It may also act as a link between growers and supermarkets, wholesalers, and foodservice companies.

From the Poeldijk location, activities including supply chain planning, quality control, customer service, purchasing, and defect handling for the European market are carried out.

In short: an international fruit and vegetable player specializing in avocados and fresh fruit products, with activities such as:

• Worldwide fruit sourcing.
• Ripening of products such as avocados and mangoes.
• Packaging and processing of fresh produce.
• Logistics and distribution to retail and wholesale.
• Quality control and inventory management.

As a machine operator at our client in Poeldijk, you are responsible for ensuring our machines run optimally. You ensure that production runs smoothly, in accordance with set specifications and quality requirements.

Your tasks include, among others: 

• Efficiently operating the machines and monitoring the production process.
• Checking and guaranteeing the quality of the products.
• Preventing and resolving minor malfunctions and technical problems.
• Identifying areas for improvement in the production process and communicating these to colleagues and supervisors. 
• Work is carried out using flowpack machines, Aweta and MAF Roda machines for, for example, net clippers/netlon/clippers.

We are looking for an operator who works accurately, is solution-oriented, and responsible, with an eye for both quality and efficiency.

• You speak good English or Dutch.
• You have work experience as an operator.
• You enjoy working with your colleagues to achieve daily goals.
• You are eager to further develop within the profession and are willing to take training courses to do so.
• You can work on Saturdays occasionally (any Saturday shifts are rotated among colleagues).

• Salary between €2,700 and €3,200 depending on experience.
• We only work day shifts.
• The position is based on 5 days / 40 hours per week; working hours may vary depending on the workload.
• To ensure the quality of our products, you will work in a refrigerated area.
