As the first five-star hotel in Amsterdam, we've been a symbol of elegance, comfort, and genuine hospitality since 1867.Now, we're looking for a dedicated and professional Night Receptionist to be the face of the hotel after dark. If you have a passion for service, a calm and confident presence, and an eye for detail, this is your chance to be part of our legendary team and contribute to unforgettable guest experiences during the night hours.Responsibilities
Be the face of the night: Welcome and assist guests during the night, handle late check-ins and early check-outs, process room service or housekeeping requests, and respond to any overnight needs with warmth and efficiency. Ensure safety and calm: Monitor the hotel's safety and security throughout the night, maintaining a peaceful and reassuring environment. Support the night audit: Work closely with the Night Auditor to help close the business day accurately and smoothly. Prepare for a new day: Assist in compiling and distributing daily recap summaries and morning reports for a seamless transition to the day team. Handle situations with care: Respond to guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, taking appropriate action or escalating when needed. Requirements Passion for hospitality: You enjoy providing luxury service and making guests feel at ease, especially during the night. Dependable and professional: You're reliable, responsible, and stay composed during overnight shifts. Teamplayer: You work well with others and value clear communication. Attention to detail: You're accurate with reports and guest requests, and take pride in a job well done. Strong Communicator: Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus) and confident in handling guest interactions. Tech-Savvy: Experience with Opera PMS is a plus.Why the Amstel Hotel?
