Het Leonardo Hotel Amsterdam City Centre vind je in hartje Amsterdam, het Vondelpark en het Museumplein ligt op een steenworp afstand van het hotel. Onze gasten lopen zo het Leidseplein op om te kunnen ontspannen op het terras of voor een gezellige dag winkelen. Een prachtige locatie voor onze gasten om van de highlights van de stad te genieten! Het hotel is gevestigd in een pand met rijke historie, het dateert uit 1808, en telt 103 moderne kamers.

Operations Manager
At Leonardo Royal Hotel Amsterdam, delivering “Royal” guest experiences is what sets us apart. With 490 rooms, multiple Food & Beverage outlets, and an impressive 900 m² Amstel Ballroom, our high level of service is one of the key reasons international meeting planners and guests choose us over the competition.
We are looking for an Operations Manager who can inspire, energize, and lead our operational teams to create unforgettable guest experiences.

Your Role
As Operations Manager, you will be part of the Management Team. Acting as the right hand of the General Manager, you will lead and inspire (together with the department heads) the Front Office & Guest Relations, Housekeeping, Technical Department, Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams; a team of approximately 60 employees. You will also work closely with the Executive Chef, Meeting & Events Manager as well as our clustered disciplines like Finance and HR.
You focus on continuously improving the guest experience and ensuring seamless collaboration between departments. At the same time, you bring strong commercial acumen: you recognize opportunities, translate them into new business models, and lead by example. You foster a positive working environment where teamwork, development, and employee growth are key.
Additionally, you have strong financial skills. You will prepare budgets, perform financial analyses, and manage costs to achieve the targeted GOP results.

This position is available starting February 2026.

As the largest Leonardo Hotel in Europe, our 4-star superior property features 18 floors, 490 rooms with a fresh, innovative design, and high-quality modern facilities. We offer 1,200 m² of conference space across 11 meeting rooms, including a stunning 900 m² ballroom for up to 700 guests; the venue of choice for major international meetings, unique gala dinners, and à la carte experiences at LEO'S International Flavors.
Our location is ideal: right next to Overamstel metro station; just 5 minutes from the Zuidas and RAI, 10 minutes from the city center, and 15 minutes from Schiphol Airport.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's degree (preferably from a Hotel Management School)
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar environment
- Extensive experience in both Rooms Division and Food & Beverage
- A decisive, energetic, and natural leader
- Someone who is energized by coaching and guiding teams
- Strong skills in revenue maximization and cost control
- Commercial insight with a proactive mindset
- Excellent command of English (and preferably Dutch), both spoken and written.
- Flexibility in working hours
