Vacature omschrijving

Bedrijfsomschrijving

Our client is a manufacturing company that specializes in high-quality medical products for use inside the human body. The company is a pioneer in coating thin steel wire for medical procedures. Founded and based in Venlo, it has grown into a global player within its sector. It is part of a major medical group that focuses on medical disposables such as syringes, tubes, and these wires. Despite this scale, the company remains small and approachable in its day-to-day operations. It is also the only company in the Netherlands specializing in this specific and important product.

The company’s roots in Venlo are clearly reflected in its workforce. Most colleagues come from the local region, and the atmosphere is informal with short, family-like lines of communication.

Because the company is located on the Veegtes industrial estate in Venlo-Noord, it is easily accessible by both car and bicycle. Outside of Venlo, the organization is also easy to reach from Venray, Roermond, Eindhoven, and the wider Peel en Maas municipality.

Functieomschrijving

Do you want to work on products that directly contribute to people’s health?

As a Research and Development Operator, you will work in a clean and controlled environment. You will join a company that produces very thin metal wires, also known as guidewires. These wires are used in medical procedures such as placing stents or balloon angioplasty. Thanks to a special coating, they are safe and smooth to use for doctors.

The company is in the final phase of developing a new coating process. The step from research to production is getting closer, and you will play an important role in this transition.

You will work in a small team with short lines of communication, together with a team leader and one colleague. No experience is required. If you work accurately, have an interest in technology, and enjoy learning new things, you will have the opportunity to learn everything internally.

Because the process is not yet fully defined, there is plenty of room to think along and contribute ideas. Accuracy is more important than speed. Making mistakes is allowed, as long as you discuss them. This way, you improve the process and the final product together.

What will you do:

  • Hanging wire on special holders for the coating process;
  • Setting up and adjusting the spray booth;
  • Operating the oven and checking the correct settings;
  • Inspecting the quality of the coated wires and packaging them neatly;
  • Thinking along about improvements in working methods and processes;
  • Working according to fixed guidelines in a clean production environment.

You will work full-time in day shifts from Monday to Friday. In the future, working in shifts may become possible, but for now you will work during the day only.

Functie-eisen

You do not need extensive work experience. What you do bring is curiosity and attention to detail. You want to understand how processes work and you ask questions when something is not clear. You work accurately, think along, and have the patience for work that requires precision. If something goes wrong, you discuss it and take the learning point with you.

Additionally:

  • You have a good command of the English language; Dutch is a plus;
  • You work carefully and follow instructions accurately;
  • You can handle repetitive tasks that require focus;
  • You are comfortable working with computers;
  • You are flexible during busy periods and willing to occasionally work longer hours.

In the longer term, the intention is that you will join the 3-shift system of the other production department. It is therefore important that you are willing to work in shifts in the future.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden
  • A gross starting salary between €2,600 and €3,300 per month, depending on your experience;
  • A full-time position of 40 hours per week in day shifts from 07:00 to 15:30;
  • Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer, starting from the first kilometer;
  • 26 vacation days per year plus pre-set bridge days, totaling 31 days;
  • You start with a 3-month temporary contract through Olympia, followed by a one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent position;
  • Pension accrual through ASR with a 2% employee contribution and an increasing employer contribution ranging from 5.2% up to 29.5%;
  • The possibility of a bonus scheme if the company achieves its targets;
  • The opportunity to gain work experience as an operator within a modern and responsible company;
  • Internal training courses and development programs to further develop your skills.
