Our client is a manufacturing company that specializes in high-quality medical products for use inside the human body. The company is a pioneer in coating thin steel wire for medical procedures. Founded and based in Venlo, it has grown into a global player within its sector. It is part of a major medical group that focuses on medical disposables such as syringes, tubes, and these wires. Despite this scale, the company remains small and approachable in its day-to-day operations. It is also the only company in the Netherlands specializing in this specific and important product.
The company’s roots in Venlo are clearly reflected in its workforce. Most colleagues come from the local region, and the atmosphere is informal with short, family-like lines of communication.
Because the company is located on the Veegtes industrial estate in Venlo-Noord, it is easily accessible by both car and bicycle. Outside of Venlo, the organization is also easy to reach from Venray, Roermond, Eindhoven, and the wider Peel en Maas municipality.
Functieomschrijving
Do you want to work on products that directly contribute to people’s health?
As a Research and Development Operator, you will work in a clean and controlled environment. You will join a company that produces very thin metal wires, also known as guidewires. These wires are used in medical procedures such as placing stents or balloon angioplasty. Thanks to a special coating, they are safe and smooth to use for doctors.
The company is in the final phase of developing a new coating process. The step from research to production is getting closer, and you will play an important role in this transition.
You will work in a small team with short lines of communication, together with a team leader and one colleague. No experience is required. If you work accurately, have an interest in technology, and enjoy learning new things, you will have the opportunity to learn everything internally.
Because the process is not yet fully defined, there is plenty of room to think along and contribute ideas. Accuracy is more important than speed. Making mistakes is allowed, as long as you discuss them. This way, you improve the process and the final product together.
What will you do:
You will work full-time in day shifts from Monday to Friday. In the future, working in shifts may become possible, but for now you will work during the day only.
Functie-eisen
You do not need extensive work experience. What you do bring is curiosity and attention to detail. You want to understand how processes work and you ask questions when something is not clear. You work accurately, think along, and have the patience for work that requires precision. If something goes wrong, you discuss it and take the learning point with you.
Additionally:
In the longer term, the intention is that you will join the 3-shift system of the other production department. It is therefore important that you are willing to work in shifts in the future.
