About the vacancy
Product consultants provide customers with information and support related to Operational Products and Services. They educate customers about product features and benefits, answer questions, and assist with the integration. Product consultants are there to leverage industry and product knowledge to answer customer inquiries and provide customer consultations.
In NewCold the logistical software systems are built over different departments, with each its own Application and Product Owner. Product Consultants need to support in the development, testing, integration, and training stages in Operational Projects. Although the systems are managed separately, within the warehouse the systems are working and depending on each other. Therefore, this role needs to connect the different systems to create one working product.
What will you do?
- Analyze the customer requirement.
- Define what product is needed for the customer.
- Define the hardware list for the hardware stream.
- Define and iterating the product.
- Work with the different engineering teams to deliver new software.
- Testing & Solving (development) problems as they appear.
- Inspect items for any defects and proper coverage.
- Become the voice of the Customer and protect any Scope Creep.
- Have regular reviews with the customer to assess whether the product meets the customer's expectations.
- Manage and oversee testing of the complete solution.
- Support in testing NewCold products.
- Test interfaces between the product and the customers.
- Evaluate test results and work with the engineering teams to solve functional and technical issues.
- Closely managing the product scope to get the product launched with a quality that matches NewCold's Standard.
- Have regular reviews with the customer to assess whether the product meets the customer expectations.
- Training of new development to operations.
- Manage and oversee the implementation of the product.
- Operational Support during go-live.
- Evaluate go-live results and work with the engineering teams to solve functional and technical issues.
- Troubleshoot information flow between operations, BD, Project Team and other internal partners.
- Handover product to local operations team.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree (in Logistics, Business Engineering or a closely related field)
- 3-7 years of experience in Software implementations in a logistics environment, Software (key) user experience
- Affinity with IT, Automation or Material Handling is a plus
- Willing to travel on a fairly regular basis
- Leadership skills and the ability to take initiative, flexible, problem-solving attitude, very good communicatorCertified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) - desirable but not mandatory
- PMP / Agile - desirable but not mandatory
- Highly proficient in English, any other European language is a plus
