The Engineering Enablement department within AH Technology aims to accelerate our teams worldwide so they can focus on their primary engagements and deliver quality customer value faster and autonomously. We provide this enablement power on technical platforms, Cloud, technical paved roads, and DevSecOps tooling. Examples of great products that we deliver are “Storm” (our cloud framework and platform) and “Beast” (our engineering paved roads)—built with and for our engineering community. 

As a Senior Engineer within Engineering Enablement, you are responsible for designing and developing our Engineering portal and bringing it to the next level. You get to define a technical vision for our Beast Portal and determine the direction for AH Tech. From this position, you are involved with implementation throughout the organization. This isn’t a mission you take on solo but as a full-fledged member of the Beast Portal team responsible for providing our engineers with the best developer experience in the world. The Beast Portal is our one-stop-shop for engineers that ties all infrastructure tooling, resources, standards, owners, contributors, and administrators in one place. You will work with users and contributors of the Beast Portal throughout the organization to fit your ideas into the bigger picture.  

This Is How You Will Reinvent Food Retail 

• Build our Cloud products, technical platforms, or paved roads with state-of-the-art technology. 
• You specialize in your field and will help decide the best technical architecture and solutions for our complete organization. 
• Being part of the larger enablement community and helping us improve daily. 
• Working with an “open-source and build yourself” mentality in a corporate environment: inner-sourcing. 

Your ‘shopping list’:

• Around 5+ years of experience with NodeJS/Typescript/React; 
• Working on frontend components is as exciting as working on backend functionalities; 
• You are familiar with the Open-source developer portal CNCF Backstage; 
• You thrive to improve the developer experience and driving our engineering excellence throughout AH Tech and beyond; 
• You are not afraid of gathering feedback from the engineering community and continuously challenge and improve the company's self-service capabilities; 
• You can explain the purpose of a developer portal and self-service and motivate our engineering community to use the portal; 
• You have experience with Azure, PostgreSQL Open-source tooling, and Kubernetes;  
• You understand the challenges of DevOps teams and want to provide them with innovative solutions that enable the teams to make a big step towards self-service capabilities.

• An annual salary of up to €100K (including bonus) based on a full-time workweek.
