As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will design, develop and maintain a mission-critical hybrid cloud platform used by multiple product teams. You work closely with internal teams as well as external partners to ensure the platform remains secure, resilient and easy to use.

A major focus of your role is building and maintaining Terraform-based infrastructure and reusable platform building blocks. You enable teams through self-service capabilities, strong CI/CD foundations and GitOps workflows. You continuously improve the platform with a strong focus on security, reliability, observability and operational excellence.

You also play a mentoring role, supporting junior engineers through code reviews, pairing and technical guidance. In addition, you contribute to defining SLOs and SLIs, incident analysis and improvements that reduce MTTR across the platform.

You are a senior engineer who enjoys ownership and responsibility. You think in systems, not tickets, and you care deeply about building platforms that are robust, scalable and developer-friendly.

You bring:

• Strong experience as a Platform Engineer, SRE or Infrastructure Engineer
• Deep, hands-on expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Experience with Azure in production environments
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes (OpenShift experience is a plus)
• Experience with CI/CD, GitOps (e.g. ArgoCD) and modern DevSecOps practices
• Understanding of security, resilience and observability in hybrid platforms
• Ability to design, align and document platform architecture
• Basic scripting skills (Python and/or Bash)
• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
• Based in the Netherlands and fluent in English

Nice to have:

• Experience with mission-critical or high-availability platforms
• Background in highly regulated or large-scale environments
• Golang experience (e.g. for tooling, operators or automation)
• Specialism in platform security or networking

• Gross annual salary between €85,000 and €140,000, depending on experience
• 8% holiday allowance
