We at IHCP are more than excited about our newest addition to our portfolio! Are you looking for a great new challenge in working on a great project; the opening of a dual branded property in The Hague?! Dual branded?! How that works? Well... Two different type of hotels in one building - all part of the biggest hospitality company in the world; Marriott International!This exciting new hotel with 311 rooms is currently built in the iconic Muzentoren – right in the city centre of The Hague. The two brands that will be respresented in this building are Moxy and Residence INN. We are opening in August of 2022 and are NOW looking for our first team members to come aboard!
BrandsMoxy is all about guests enjoying a free-spirited Instagram worthy place where they can have a drink in our bar or play a game in a playful environment. A great way of meeting new people and enjoying life at best! Self service is the best service, but don't worry, our bar is always open and ‘the crew' is ready on duty to serve!
Residence INN by Marriott on the other hand is an extended stay brand whereby our guests stay for longer periods of time. It is up to us to make them feel at home with our family of associates! Although their room has all the facilities they need for a longer stay, our associates are always there to help and assist guests in our Residence inn Lounge - the public living and working space. This is also where our Residence INN guests can enjoy their breakfast or a cocktail or have a chat with whoever they meet!

We are looking for a Shift Leader All Round to join our Moxy & Residence Inn by Marriott hotel in the iconic Muzentoren, right in the heart of The Hague. Two brands, one building, and 311 rooms. Part of Marriott International, world's biggest hospitality company, our hotel opened in August 2022 and now we are looking for YOU in our team. Moxy is bold, playful and social, where guests grab a drink, play a game, and connect with each other. Residence Inn is all about longer stays and provides a feeling like home, with a welcoming lounge where guests live, work and relax. One day you are steering the Moxy energy, the next you are creating that warm Residence Inn welcome. Best of both worlds in 1 building. JOB DESCRIPTION As a Shift Leader, you are responsible for ensuring that all hotel operations run smoothly during your shift. In the absence of management, you take on a leadership role, seamlessly transitioning between Front Office and Food & Beverage operations. You remain calm and composed under pressure, handling emergencies with confidence and professionalism. With a passion for hospitality, you deliver a personalized and authentic guest experience, always striving to exceed expectations. You think proactively and creatively, addressing guest feedback and complaints with a focus on continuous improvement. You are committed to enhancing overall service quality and operational efficiency. In addition, you play a key role in coaching and training team members, setting a strong example through your leadership, professionalism, and dedication.
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS You:
- Are excited to work in a large-scale hotel in The Hague
- Are familiar with OPERA and comfortable working with the system
- Communicate confidently in English
- Enjoy working in a diverse and international team
- Have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Have mastered daily operational tasks and can run a shift independently
- Take ownership and are proactive in sharing ideas for improvement
- Have a hands-on, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality
- Can provide two professional references
