The DevAI team is looking for a mid-level Software Engineer who is passionate about AI-assisted development and wants to help other engineers in Albert Heijn adopt the new ways of working.
We are a small team of six, and you will join as a core member. Our mission is to accelerate adoption of AI-assisted development and help teams move from legacy systems to modern, scalable tech stacks by embedding AI into everyday workflows.
This role combines strong software engineering skills with an interest in developer enablement, experimentation, and cross-team collaboration.
Rather than building product features, this role focuses on improving how engineering teams build and deliver software.
Our work is inherently dynamic. Priorities evolve quickly as we learn, and we regularly adjust direction based on new insights. You should be comfortable operating in an environment with ambiguity, frequent change, and short feedback loops.
At the same time, we value focus and clarity - ensuring that when we commit to a direction, we drive it with intent and follow through.

Together with your team, you will work on inspiring projects to accelerate our transition into a hybrid Food & Tech company. We want to leverage data and technology to future-proof food shopping and give our customers accessibility to healthy food more easily available for everyone.
