Organisation
Dicht bij het Centraal Station hebben we de Westerkerk in Utrecht omgebouwd tot een bruisende ontmoetingsplek voor mensen uit de buurt en van ver weg. Op een typische dag is onze monumentale kerkzaal gevuld met gasten die genieten van gerechten van over de hele wereld, bereid met zo veel mogelijk lokale ingrediënten (met een Bunk-twist, natuurlijk), flexwerkers die de laatste details van hun projecten afronden backpackers die voor een klein prijsje wat slaap inhalen in onze pods, cultuurliefhebbers die profiteren van onze gratis evenementen en nieuwsgierige reizigers, op weg naar avonturen voordat ze terugkeren naar hun kamers.

Inspired by the monumental church which we call home, our menu features local, seasonal ingredients prepared traditionally: smoked, cured, pickled, marinated and stewed. You know exactly what needs to happen, who needs support and how to keep standards high without losing sight of the people around you.As a Sous Chef (Junior), you're an important support to the Head Chef and kitchen leadership team. You help lead the kitchen team, coach and develop colleagues and take ownership of the operation when the Head Chef is away. You lead by example, stay calm under pressure and understand that consistency, cleanliness and teamwork are just as important as creativity.You love working with seasonal ingredients and bold flavours, and you're constantly looking for ways to improve dishes, processes and the guest experience. Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
  • This position is open to candidates who are legally permitted to work and currently live in the Netherlands
  • You have at least 1 year of experience in a leadership role within a professional kitchen
  • You have experience managing teams during high-volume service
  • You are confident in stock management, ordering and controlling food costs
  • You understand HACCP procedures and food safety standards inside out
  • You are available to work evenings, weekends and holidays when needed
  • You communicate clearly and professionally in English
  • You take ownership, show initiative and aren't afraid to make decisions
  • You enjoy coaching others and helping your team grow
