Job Description
Spa Therapist Split across two unique buildings, a former telephone exchange and a bank, W Amsterdam is an intriguing design mix of heritage and contemporary style. Mixing historical Dutch architectural elements with cutting-edge design right next to Dam Square, W Amsterdam is at the epicenter of this energetic and forward-thinking city. Our guests can indulge in one of our destination restaurants THE DUCHESS and MR PORTER and taste signature sips at our rooftop W Lounge overlooking the Royal Palace and the city lights, including WET Deck the iconic rooftop pool. W Hotels does not recruit, we cast Talent. W Amsterdam, located at Spuistraat 175 is casting a Spa Therapist. You will be working in the award winning Away Spa! Main responsibilities:
- Perform all treatments offered at Away Spa to an exceptional standard as per the Comfort Zone protocols and brand standards including; massages, facials and body treatments.
- Have strong knowledge of skin, body and facial massage techniques and anatomy
- Carry out an in-depth pre-treatment consultation or skin analysis with each guest ensuring all guests concerns and goals are identified
- Ensure aftercare recommendations are made with each guest linked to their treatment and appropriate homecare products are recommended.
- Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
- Responsibility for equipment, products, cleanliness and hygiene in the treatment rooms and other areas.
- Support all areas and assist with duties in the spa including spa reception and spa attendant duties.
- Maintain a presence on the floor when not doing any treatments.
- Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
- Make sure you put the guests at the center of everything we do. Any task that is not mentioned in this list but that may create an unforgettable experience for our guests is on your to do list.
- Work hours depend on the demands of the business and is required flexibility. You will be working different shifts; morning, afternoon, evening, weekend shifts. Also during public holidays.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and professional appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Qualified Spa therapist, including massage therapist certification
- Fluency in English
- Dutch and any other language is an advantage
- Previous therapist experience in a luxury spa is a must
- European Passport or Dutch visa
