About the vacancy:
NewCold is looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Tax Operations Manager with 5-8 years of experience. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on a wide range of international tax matters, including structuring, transfer pricing, compliance and tax risk management.
What will you do?
- Manage Tax Activities: Oversee all tax-related operations within the organization.
- Tax filings and compliance: Manage the group's tax obligations and filings, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings in compliance with all regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Tax research: Analyze and interpret the impact of evolving tax legislation, including EU directives, OECD Pillar 2, and local tax reforms.
- Tax planning: Provide technical support on (cross-border) transactions, corporate restructurings, and international tax planning initiatives.
- Collaboration: Work with external advisors and internal stakeholders in Finance, Legal, and Treasury to ensure tax-efficient and compliant business operations.
- Documentation: Contribute to transfer pricing documentation, policy development, and intercompany arrangements.
- Support: Provide tax guidance and support to the tax team and other departments in respect of tax audits and the preparation and review of tax provisions under IFRS or local GAAP as well as assist in process improvements, risk assessments, and implementation of tax technologies.
Who are you looking for?
You have:
- Master's degree in Tax Law, or a related discipline
- 5-8 years of relevant (international) tax experience, ideally gained in a Tier1 or Tier 2 firm and/or in-house at a multinational company
- Strong understanding of European and international tax principles, including transfer pricing, BEPS, and EU tax frameworks
- Experience with tax reporting under IFRS and/or local statutory requirements is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex tax matters clearly to both tax and non-tax professionals
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus
