As an installation technician, you assist in setting up fall protection systems that ensure people can work safely at heights. Your day starts early in Ter Aar, where you meet a colleague and head out in the company van to the day’s project. Projects vary from office buildings to event locations or any place where work at height is required.
Initially, you will work as an assistant technician, providing general support. You’ll help load the van, meet the site supervisor, and go onto roofs with your colleague—so being comfortable with heights is essential! You’ll assist in marking the correct spots for anchor points and drilling holes about seven centimeters deep. Step by step, you’ll learn how to install cable systems and anchor points to ensure that people can work safely at height after your work is done.
