For a forward-thinking supplier of sophisticated packaging solutions, active within production environments across South Holland, we are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer. In this position, you will support customers in South-Holland region and surrounding areas, where reliability, speed, and precision are critical.
The position
As a Field Service Engineer, you play a key role in keeping complex packaging installations performing at their best. You operate independently, working with modern, automated machinery while maintaining close contact with customers and internal teams.
Your main activities include:
- Assembling, installing, and commissioning high-end packaging systems
- Carrying out preventive maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
- Identifying malfunctions and performing in-depth technical analyses
- Executing machine adjustments, upgrades, and efficiency improvements
- Training operators and providing technical support to on-site maintenance staff
- Accurately recording service activities and communicating findings to the service organization
You will begin with maintenance and service tasks and gradually take on more advanced machine optimizations and technical modifications as your expertise grows.
Your background
- A completed technical education (e.g. Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or similar)
- Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings
- Proficient in English and motivated to develop Dutch language skills (towards B1 level)
- In possession of a valid Category B driver’s license
- VCA certified or prepared to obtain certification in the short term
