Job Description
Looking to gain real-world hospitality experience in a boutique hotel setting? At Park Plaza Vondelpark Amsterdam, you'll learn how exceptional service, attention to detail and genuine guest connections come together to create memorable stays from arrival to departure. Situated in Amsterdam's Oud-Zuid district, close to the iconic Vondelpark and excellent public transport links, Park Plaza Vondelpark Amsterdam is a stylish boutique hotel where personalised service and authentic hospitality take centre stage.
As a Front Office Intern, you will be the face of the hotel and play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences. You will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of Front Office operations while developing your professional and hospitality skills in a welcoming and dynamic environment.
The internship starts in September 2026 for a period of 5 or 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Support guests throughout their stay, from check-in to check-out
- Deliver a warm and professional welcome to guests from around the world
- Assist with guest enquiries via phone, email and face-to-face communication
- Learn and apply hotel procedures, standards and systems
- Collaborate with departments such as Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Maintenance to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Contribute to maintaining a professional and welcoming Front Office environment
Essential Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a hospitality, hotel management or related study programme
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
- Guest-focused mindset with a positive and professional approach
- Enjoy working as part of a team and adapting to a fast-paced environment
- Eligible to complete an internship in the Netherlands
Preferred Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is an advantage
- Interest in Front Office operations and guest relations
- Familiarity with hotel systems (PMS) is a plus
- Dutch or additional language skills are an advantage
- Eagerness to develop operational knowledge within a hotel environment

The internship allowance is €550 gross per month (full-time), which is above the Horeca CAO BOL guidelines.
