Job Description
As a Maintenance & Breakdown Mechanic in Winterswijk, you are responsible for the technical availability of our machinery and installations. You will detect, locate, and resolve mechanical malfunctions, sometimes collaborating with colleagues from other disciplines or external specialists. Besides reactive repairs, you perform planned preventive maintenance and inspections to prevent downtime. You don't just fix problems; you actively suggest technical improvements to our systems and maintenance strategies. In this versatile role, you might also operate equipment like forklifts or loaders to get the job done.
What are your responsibilities?
- Detecting, locating, and resolving malfunctions in machines and technical installations;
- Performing planned and preventive maintenance and inspections, including reporting;
- Executing immediate repairs during breakdowns or emergencies to ensure continuity;
- Realizing larger repair projects according to prepared work instructions and schedules;
- Proposing technical improvements for systems and maintenance plans to your supervisor;
- Operating forklifts, loaders, and aerial platforms when required for maintenance tasks;
- Documenting all technical findings and maintenance activities in the system;
- Ensuring a safe working environment by strictly following all safety protocols.

Job Requirements

- You have a completed MBO degree in Mechanical Engineering (Werktuigbouwkunde);
- You have a good command of German, Dutch, or English (one of these languages is required);
- You possess a valid VCA and Forklift certificate (Aerial platform/Hoogwerker is a plus);
- You have several years of experience in a similar role within a production environment;
- You are willing to participate in a standby/call-out shift (wachtdienst) if necessary;
- You are a team player who works accurately and prioritizes safety above all else.
