About the vacancy:
To support our project in Dinteloord (NL) we are looking for a Project Engineer with expertise in industrial cladding / panels. He / she shall possess all skills & experience to manage a cladding contractor which will install all insulated wall panels, including any ancillary items to ensure vapor tightness of the building.
The goal is to ensure that all design coordination, procurement, coordination for site execution and the overall quality of the installed product is well managed.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Be the focal point for NewCold for the package of cladding works.
- Coordinate the design development of the cladding contractor between the various trades such as general contractor, MEP, cooling, racking etc...
- Support (and check) design consultants / team to develop all documents in line with the specifications, guidelines and standards.
- Ensure timely and complete procurement by the cladding contractor of his various supplies.
- Be a part of the development of the QA processes and be responsible for site inspections and records of the works.
- Support the construction manager in managing timely execution of the cladding contractor.
- Ensure solutions are found for (ad hoc) technical problems or clashes with the cladding contractor.
- Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organize meetings, and facilitating cooperation among the cladding contractor and others.
- Monitor and manage progress, quality and HSE of the cladding contractor.
Please note this is a project-based vacancy, location Dinteloord.
Who are we looking for?
You have:
- A degree in civil or mechanical engineering
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Evidence of a background in cladding; a background with insulated cladding for the frozen (high bay) industry is a plus.
- Willing to be on site 80% of the time
- Comfortable working in a dynamic high paced work environment
- Proficient in English. Dutch is a plus.
- A team player with good communication skills
